Business Mentoring

Think of me as your coach, mentor, creative partner, confidante, and accountability buddy rolled into one.

I work with clients of all different business stages, from new business owners in their first 1-3 years who are building their skills and local client base, to more established business owners who are pushed for time and headspace, and would like new and innovative ways of serving their clients without burning out.

For Dog Trainers and Behavioural Practitioners who want to make a difference to their clients, without burning out.

Let me guess, you’ve poured time, energy and money into your education.

And, yet somehow still never feel good enough.

Because no matter how many clients you see, there is still not quite enough money coming into the business to be able to create the impact that you want to see in the industry.

I know you care deeply about the dogs you work with, their welfare, the training methods and advice being given across social media.

But, having the time/energy and capacity to work on your business, and not only in it, is leaving you in a chicken and egg scenario where nobody win’s, least of all you.

My role as your mentor is to focus solely on you, and your business

To help you to free up your time, gain back control of your schedule, reduce your never ending admin and help you to dig deep into the reason you started this journey.

Together we will explore where you are now, what’s brought you here, the things that have worked and the things that haven’t.

So that underneath all of the never-ending to do’s we can regain some balance in your life to help you get clear on the impact you want to make, and not what everyone else in the industry is or isn’t doing.

Which best describes where you are now?

"I can't do this"

Nothing quite prepared you for the reality of running your own business. You have a deep love and passion for dog’s and their welfare. You’ve attended the courses, invested in your education and felt armed and ready to go. But launching and running a business, especially in the beginning can feel incredibly overwhelming. Quickly realising that running a Dog Training Business, requires people skills as well as business knowledge to get it up and off the ground.  You want to learn how, but you don’t know where to begin or where to start which means you go round and round, and stay stuck in your own head and scared to take action. When you have tried things like posting on social media or having a go at creating a website but often it feels like no matter what you do, nothing seems to be working.  Can leave you awake at night wondering if you can actually do this, and get your business up and running. What you want is to feel like you can actually do this. What you need is the support, education and accountability to make small steps that over time have a big impact in helping you establish your business in your local area.

The "Messy" Middle

You, my friend, are in what is affectionately known as the “messy middle” stages of running a business.  You have a semi-established and experienced local Dog Training Business, in that people know who you are, and what you offer. But, your income is inconsistent, your time is stretched and you're swamped under admin, client commitments and your own expectations.  There are days where you love what you do, and days where you question your own sanity.  You have invested in your education, you know you have a lot to offer but investing in you, your own development and your business feels like it’s not an option. Trusting someone to support you, and help you make changes that right now might feel impossible without worrying about compromising on your ethics, beliefs and values as a practitioner. What you want is more consistency, and certainty. What you need is the support, tools and self belief to implement changes that take care of you, your business as well as your clients.

Specific Project on your heart?

Do you have a project that’s been on your heart but the bottom of the to-do list for a long time?

Clients come to me for a number of reasons, often when we dig down into what is really important to them, there is a project that’s been long forgotten about.

By working collaboratively, my role is to support you to establish what it is specifically you want, why it’s important to you and to create the best plan to get you there.

Using project planning, increasing intrinsic motivation levels and providing real time feedback and accountability.

We can take your ideas from fleeting thoughts, through to completion. Giving you a sense of accomplishment seeing your ideas come to life.

I'm curious, what happens next?

The first step is what we call a "Discovery Call" so we can get to know each other better and make sure I’m the right coach for you.

This call is free and will last approx 45 mins. Usually over Zoom, although phone calls are welcome if you are new to video calls.

During that time, you will have an opportunity to talk through your goals and idea's, and discuss any barriers you face as well as what support you feel you would benefit from.

After the call, you will receive an email outlining what we discussed as well as the different packages available to you.

Mentoring packages start with an initial investment of three months, and can then move to a rolling retainer contract for clients who value ongoing direction, support and accountability.
